Victorian Silver Plated Table Snuff Box for the Rosherville Hotel. Of shaped rectangular form with ornate engraved detail.

In the 1840s a series of Italianate villas and terraces were developed in Northfleet, Kent as part of a Thames riverside estate by Jeremiah Rosher, a chalk merchant. He subsequently turned disused chalk pits into Rosherville Gardens, pleasure grounds with a zoo, botanical garden and fun fair that became one of London's popular playgrounds.
The Rosherville Hotel was built around 1850 in Burch Road. It stopped operating as an hotel around 1905 and was later converted into flats, before demolition in 1968.

In excellent condition without dents or creases. The hinge is in good order and the item has been replated.
